SSC Stenographer Recruitment 2025: Age Limits
- Age Limit (as on 01 August 2024):
- Grade C: 18–30 years (born between 02 August 1994 and 01 August 2006)
- Grade D: 18–27 years (born between 02 August 1997 and 01 August 2006)
- Age Relaxation: 5 years for SC/ST, 3 years for OBC, 10 years for PwBD, as per SSC rules.

SSC Stenographer Recruitment 2025: Eligibility Criteria
- Educational Qualification: 10+2 (Intermediate) from a recognized board in India.
- Skill Requirements:
- Grade C: Dictation at 100 wpm for 10 minutes, transcription in 40 minutes (English) or 55 minutes (Hindi) on a computer.
- Grade D: Dictation at 80 wpm for 10 minutes, transcription in 50 minutes (English) or 65 minutes (Hindi) on a computer.
- Note: Candidates must have shorthand skills. Typing certificate not required, but typing speed of 55–60 wpm is recommended for the skill test.

SSC Stenographer Recruitment 2025: Mode of Selection
- Computer-Based Test (CBT): 200 marks, 2 hours, with sections on General Intelligence & Reasoning (50 marks), General Awareness (50 marks), English Language & Comprehension (100 marks). Negative marking: 0.25 marks per wrong answer.
- Skill Test (Qualifying): Dictation for 10 minutes at 100 wpm (Grade C) or 80 wpm (Grade D), transcribed on a computer in 40/55 minutes (Grade C, English/Hindi) or 50/65 minutes (Grade D, English/Hindi).
- Document Verification: Includes educational certificates, ID proof, caste certificate, age proof, PwBD certificate.
- Merit List: Based on CBT performance; skill test is qualifying only.
- Note: No interview is conducted. Final selection depends on CBT marks and document verification.

- Click on the “Steno ‘C’ and ‘D’” tab.
- Select the link labeled “Stenographer Grade ‘C’ and ‘D’ Examination, 2024: List of candidates provisionally shortlisted for Document Verification.”
- Download the PDF containing roll numbers and names of shortlisted candidates (215 for Grade C, 1908 for Grade D).
- Use Ctrl+F to search for your roll number or name.
- Download and print the PDF for future reference.
- To access scorecards, log in to ssc.gov.in with your registration ID and password.
